CyberHome CH-LDV 700B problems

i just got a portable dvd player (CyberHome, model CH-LDV 700B), and i have a slight problem with it...

on vcd/svcd discs that i have created (with VCDEasy), the menu does not operate the well it should. it is able to respond to the prev/next keys, but the play or enter keys do not make the selections as they should. so, this leaves me stuck on the "main menu page" that i often include on my menus.
- on a disc created with Nero, the number keys are able to go to the correct chapters as they should. i can not try this on my discs, because i cant get to the chapter selection page (which is done by hitting -next- then -enter-)

is there anything i can do to fix this problem? does anybody else have this model, or a similar model, and/or have this same (or similar) problem?

any advice/comments would be appreciated. thanks.....

I have the same model. It never did that for me. My 700b just broke and i do not have the original box it came in. I was wondering if I could buy the box your 700b came in so i can exchange it at walmart. Let me know please.

so... are you saying that the enter button works for your vcd/svcd menus?
or do u press play ?
when i press enter, it does nothing.
when i press play, it just displays the play logo in the corner. yet it does not do what its supposed to.
my menus seem to function fine with the exception of the play/enter problem.

can you tell me what version of whatever that you have? this can be seen in the setup menu, i think....
i'll post mine later. my battery is charging right now, so i cant turn it on....
