  1. I've had a Cyberhome 300 for at least 6 or 7 years but it seems to have finally died. I'm looking for advice on what a good replacement might be. I've got a nice bluray player that is my primary player for BDs & DVDs. The cyberhome was just my backup that I used to play my import discs.

So I'm looking for something that's not too expensive but is easily made region free and it HAS to be able to play both NTSC & PAL on the fly. I live in the U.S.

Just looking around I see the Coby 224 looks to be very similar to the Cyberhome 300, but it seems to get a lot of negative reviews (but for all I know, so did the cyberhome...).

I also see the Toshiba SD4300 might fit the bill, but it's almost 17 inches wide & won't fit in my tv stand so I'd have to get creative with where to put it... (my stand has cube shaped cubby holes for shelves that are about 13 inches wide. for example, the PS3 just fits with millimeters to spare...)

The Philips DVP3560 is often recommended as a region free player in the US. See https://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/philips-dvp3560/10922
