  1. Any tips out there...
    1. Installed AIW 9800Pro
    2. Updated Catalyst Drivers
    3. Updated Multimedia Center

I can capture video in both ATI TV Player and Pinnacle Studio, but not audio. When I go to select audio input in both the TV player and Studio, the AIW card is not shown as an option.

FWIW, prior to installing the AIW card, I did have a Pinnacle Dazzler 80 hooked-up to my system, but I uninstalled it.

Also, anyway to test if the purple input cable that came with the card is functioning properly?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

  2. You dont select the card itself but rather the audio input its plugged into there are 2 ways to do this. 1 internaly using a cable from the audio out connector on the aiw to a line in or aux connector or cd in connector on a sound card. as a matter of fact the standard cdrom audio cable will find the aiw card perfectly. 2 externaly using the video out cable that comes with the aiw card plug the 1/8 inch stereo plug into the line in jack on your sound card and the select the correct audio source from your software depending on which port you connected the aiw to..

  3. Thanks, for the response. A follow-up question -- then why are their RCA audio connectors on the big purple input cable that comes with the AIW card? Isn't that supposed to be the audio input source rather then the sound card?

The RCA is fed to the soundcard, either internally to the AUX channel, or the the OUPUT bundle mini jack (which is looped back to a soundcard externally).
