  1. i have searched for this without much luck, so here goes.
    i am taking recordings from my panasonic dmr-e80h and putting them into dvd lab (i have made great dvd's with TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR) and making great dvd's.except that there is no audio in the video portion. the files are demuxed as AC3 (which it supports???). all of my motion menus and such play fine (audio ripped from actual cd's and put through tmpgenc)...obviousley i am relatively new to this so please go easy on my lack of knowledge
    any and all help is appreciated!

    thank you for your response.
    all of the above. i am completely stumped. as i stated though, the TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR works great, i just crave a little more expression with my menus. hence the attempts at DVD LAB.

    maybe a stupid question , but did you drag the audio file also to the timeline as well as the video file ?

    i don't think when you use the preview button and play the movie you hear audio anyway (i don't) , but it is there in the finished dvd folder
    after finished authoring ...

    @BJ_M

    not a stupid question, as I did the same thing myself when first starting out with demuxed files and DVD Lab...

    @the phantom

    the files are demuxed as AC3 (which it supports???)
    this might sound stupid also, but are ALL of your sound files AC3? DVD Lab (at least version 1.3-which I use) seems to not like "mixed" sounds. I too struggled with this the first time that I created a motion menu with AC3 sound, and used straight MPEGs as my "movie" files...I had sound in the menu, but not in the movie...

    actually, no they are not. only the actual concert footage is AC3. i am putting the 48khz .mpa audio files on the menus and they are the only ones that will play. can i convert AC to .mpa??

    Might be easier (and result in smaller file size) to convert your mpa's to AC3. Though I've never tried it myself that I can remember (for mpa), you might use ffmpeggui for this task...or maybe BeSweet would be a good choice also
