But I can't find the file there, I have seen some other threads where peopel talk about the firmware for the DVPS760, however no one has posted a link to download it. ...yet

Can someone please post a link for the benfit of other users who are not in the States and can't talk to the AKAI customer support in the US.

I tried the firmware upgrade and couldn't get it to work . Unlike everyone else, I don't have NERO. I'm using Roxio CD Creator 6.0, and used an IMATION CD-R (24X), and have a Plextor 708A DVD burner

I tried many settings (i.e., wasted a number of CDs).

The NERO instructions say:

NERO Burning ROM software, make sure that ISO Level 1 is chosen, MODE 1 (under format) is chosen, ISO 9660 is chosen, Joilet is clicked, and finally finalize the CD, so no further data can be written on the CD-R.

In the Roxio software, I can select, for File System, either ISO 9660 or Joliet. MODE 1 is defaulted. Didn't see anything about ISO Level 1. I tried with and without "Record using single track only". As for finalizing, I tried a number of different methods (Disc at Once, Track at Once with Disc Finalization selected). Nothing seems to work. In one case I got a DISC ERROR message, in another I got a NO DISC, indicating that the player didn't even recognize the disk.

Any suggestions?
