How to make Akai ABR200 region free

Hi

Can anyone help me get my Akai ABR200 region free.
I looked in video help site Video Hacks it is not in the
list, when I tried to list it as a new BluRay/DVD player
it says it is listed but page did not show anything.

How do you learn how to make codes. It must be able
to be learnt, where do you start?

not all dvd/bluray players can be made region free. if there is a hack it would only apply to the dvd side of the player.

I cannot prove this, but I am convinced that most codes are secretly passed by the manufacturers to forums like this one. I have always suspected that an employee is told unofficially to pass the code along.

If you write the firmware then you will know if the player can be made region free or not and what the code is. If you have special equipment and a high degree of training in writing firmware you can dump existing firmware and figure out what codes it accepts. But it's not an easy process.
