  1. Is there a program that creates individual divx file for each one of the chapters in the dvd automatically?
I have a music dvd and i would like to split the dvd into individual divx files so that i can use Next, Back in the remote control while watching it using a divx player.
    Thanks for your help.

  2. I'm not aware of any program that will do it automatically, but with a bit of work you can use VirtualDub MPEG to convert each .vob file into an AVI. From there you can use VirtualDub to split each AVI into however many clips you require.

  4. If you rip with dvdecrypter in IFO mode you can rip each chapter seperately. That way you will have a seperate vob for each chapter and the break points will be exact.

  5. Wasn't aware of that, Suntan, thanks-- from there you can convert each VOB into a DivX, or other format, clip with VirtualDub MPEG.

  6. Furthermore, if all you want is just the audio (I relize you want to make music videos) you can select stream processing and unselect all the streams except the audio stream you want and DVDecrypter will only demux that AC3 track. Then you can use it as is or convert it with BeSweet or Headac3he to MP3 or Vorbis (my favorite) or WAV (if you want to creat a regular audio CD. No need to copy the huge vob files to your disk if you just want the audio.

  7. Thanks for your responses.
I guess I will have to split the big VOB file into smaller chapters and then use batch mode for each file to get individual chapter divx output.
I was really hoping to see if a program could do it automatically. I tried restricting the file size option(made 1 CDR to 50MB) hoping it produces individual chapters but instead it made 50MB files and they were useless for my purpose.
