  1. I created an image file of a SVCD .mpg file using VPC4 and Nero. The extension is .NRG
To burn it with Toast 5, do I need to convert it to .bin then put it through binchunker or what??

  2. if you already have the .mpg file in compliant format, don't use Nero but VCDImagerEasy (under VPC emulation) and select the SVCD option and the Toast option. You will get two XA tracks ready to be burned under Toast XA window.

Thanks so much for the tip.
Before your reply, I couldn't get VCDimager Easy to work but I created a new CDrive and reinstalled VCDImager Easy and have been converting and burning those .mpeg SVCD movies that I've been storing.
Only gripe is that it takes a couple of hours on my B&W G3 to convert the .mpegs to the XA files.

    Appreciate your advice.

  4. there is a way to do it quicker if you've got OSX : install VCDImager for OSX and run it from command line. You will be done very quickly!

  5. Thanks again! I'll keep that in mind. I haven't got OSX installed but I have it.

    Happy Trails,

  6. Is there a way I can convert an NRG file to avi or mpeg?

  7. many image files are interchangable. Try renaming your file to .img and mounting with DiskCopy. If this doesn't work then go back to nero and make an iso image instead of an nrg.

  8. Thanks but I already got rid of the NRG file and have apparently better (I never checked the NRG file) bin/cue files. Which I'm not trying to figure out how to convert to mpeg with VCDGear in the Terminal...
