I have quite a few files to backup from drive D: and E:. I don't want to use CD-Rs 'cause it would take too many disks. I just got DVD burner, which burns all format (DVD -/+ R/RW and DVD-RAM).

I have a few blank DVD-Rs and DVD+Rs at home. Which would you choose to burn my data? (There doesn't seems to be any DVD-RAM disk i the local store )

I use Nero 6 for my CD-R, so I would probably use Nero for my DVDs too. Can you copy data the same way for DVDs?

Is there any steps I should know before I start burning?

I just select DVD ISO and drag and drop the files. - or + doesn't matter much, just whatever your DVDROM in your computer reads.

  3. Your DVD Burner will act just like a CD Burner regarding data xfers. I use Roxio for data and use the "direct cd" fucntion that allows windows explorer drop and drag functionality... rather nice for quick data archives.
