using TMPGenc 2.1, loaded an avi as the audio and video file. used svcd as the template and hit the start button. it sucessfully made the .mpeg file, but it has no audio in it.
any ideas?

Try VirtualDub to save the audio separately as wav. And then use TMPGEnc to multiplex and encode. If virtualDub say that it is a Type-1 DV file, then you have to convert it to type-2. Search the forum to find how it can be done.

You can also try increasing the priority of the Direct Show Filter in Options/Global Settings/VFAPI. Set it to 1...TMPGEnc runs seems to run slower with this setting though.
