which has the lowest risk of having some 1000 files facing data corruption ? (best protecting the 100 files )
pls rank the top 2 lowest risk
1) erase files off dvd RAM , and copy the files from hard disk/storage into RAM
2) reformat the DVD RAM , and copy the files from hard disk/storage into RAM
3)just simply drag & drop from hard disk/storage card ,.overriding the files in RAM

I'm afraid your alternatives are confusing. I would copy the files to a regular DVD in data mode for backup purposes. Anytime you copy files you could have corruption, especially if you have a power failure during transfer and don't have a UPS. However, if you must, I would reformat the RAM DVD and check it for errors before copying the files to it.
