  1. I am trying to author a dvd with tmpgenc. There are 6 mpeg files. After i hit begin output, it seems like everything is ok. After anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes my computer freezes. Cannot even move the mouse. Any help would be apreciated

  3. Do you have enough space allocated on your hard drive for the output files? I don't think TMPGEnc DVD Author has ever froze on me, and I use a relatively slow 866MHz PIII w/98SE.
That's my opinion, and if you don't like it, I'll change it.

  6. I would say some type of PC problem, maybe conflict with some other program?

All I can say for certian (and it doesn't help you really) is I never had a problem with it locking on me. I just did a full DVD that was a real pain for me.

I had 2 recordings of the same thing, 1 recording was better in some spots than the second and vice a verusa. Then also the play was performed different each time and I wanted the best of everything. In the end I had opened the same 2 (4gigs each) mpegs about 15 times each. Selecting and cutting a little clip here and a little clip there untill I had 1 full movie.
I also had a partial 3rd recording I used a few bits and pieces of.
Nothing locked up, program was stable as a rock.

I supposed in theory I had opened about 33 mpegs totallying about 130gig or so to grab all the clips to make that 2 hour movie.
