SVCD won't play on my PC.

I have SVCD's for a cool TV series, and I -love- doing video editing. I make music videos and trailers. I wanna make a trailer for this series. But I can't make the MPG files from the SVCD's usable in my computer. Other then playback threw WinDVD.

I tried Multi-plexing with Tmpgenc, but it won't lemme, cause it says the file is an illeagle stream. And I wanna use this great source material. What's a girl to do? Someone pwease help me? Cause I don't wanna have to capture these SVCDs from my DVD player. That'd be icky. >_<
