OK, I am having the hardest time getting this done!

    Can someone give me either:
    step-by-step instructions
    or
recomend a program that is user freindly that will do this for me?

I'm in a situation where this sort of conversion is necessary!

use quicktime pro or squeeze or procoder or vegas or premiere pro ..

load file -- render to quicktime ..

squeeze generally gives the best results ....

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
    It's no good. It didn't work BJ_M.
I was able to convert my .mpg files (as so I thought) to a .mov using my QuickTime Pro.
I would go to file/import and pick out the .mpg I wanted to convert to .mov and then choose 'convert'. Well, it seemed to go through a quick process. When it was done it would start to play the .mov but it didn't seem to be saved. So, I would 'save' it.

Then I took the necessary ".mov" file and uploaded it to the site I needed it to be viewed at. when I went to click on it 's new link nothing would happen. A window would pop up but act as if frozen.
    What am I doing wrong?
the page the dead quicktime .mov's are located at right now is: http://www.waggingtongues.com/Animatehome.htm

I'm going to look into that squeeze program you were talking about.

  5. Why do you want to convert the files? They are a pain in the ass to convert back to anything else.
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.

My site is always being visited by idiots! Don't you see? MAC users who know diddly squat about video but get demanding and want to see our annimation. That's why!
I can't get over what an issue MAC has made of itself with this. I mean, if I put just my .mpg files up instead, would that be sufficiant enough?

If you want a real good laugh, you should see the emails I get from some of these MAC users.
