  1. I've been a loyal customer since ... my last order which I bought a HUB Printable Optodisc DVD-R4x and Ritek 9.4 GB x 25.

When they arrived, I found theOptodisc is not, at all, hub printable the inner diameter is as wide as 41 mm. So I initiate the return as unused product and having to pay shipping back myself as usual despite the item is not as advertised. But it's only $8.

Then, I received the e-mail from support that I'll received the INSTORE CREDIT. I then, said "NO". I request a full credit. I'm not sure when I would be secure enough to buy from meritline when product is not as advertised.

I haven't seen that credit back yet for over 21 days now.

And more, I now just discovered that the Ritek 9.4 GB wasn't stamped as Ritek - it's simply read - no name in my DVDinfo Pro. I double checked with my previous batch from Meritline which is stamped RITEKG04. Now I'm not sure is this a fake media ? Would I initiate another return and pay another $8 for shipping and or waiting for INSTORE CREDIT ?

Morever, I've been, lately, recieving e-mail containing viruses and one of them directly sent from return@meritline.com !!

anybody experienced this or just me. I'm sure, now overwhelming with their business strategy.

Riteks should always have the code on them. I'd return them.

You are not the first person on this forum to say negative things about Meritline.

I bought from them a couple of times but no more.

    I don't trust them.

You better call your credit card company to get that refund. I think you only have 30 days from the original purchase but it might be longer depending on what bank your credit card is with.

  5. Had a similar prob with meritline.com, bought 4X(supposedly) DVD-R media from meritline, ran Nero DriveSpeed on dem bad boys, turns out they were only 2X...

They also screwed up my order on slimlines, I ordered green, but got clear instead(Yeh, that part is trivial! :P ).

So I ended up paying 4X media prices for 2X media, what crap!

Guess everybody ends up playing the fool at some point in their life.

I also had the same issues before until I started to go to weekend computer shows here in new york city and I am very happy with my decision because I always find ritek g04s or sony or panasonic media dirt cheap all the time and I have a good customer oriented bond with these dealers. And finally check out www.compusa.com every 2 weeks they have the sony media on sale and I never had any problems using these sources ,I hope this helps... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

  8. Very Simple.

Since you've never used the product when you received, and now Meritline has the package back without any complaints about the product itself. Such as package physical damage.

So, call your credit card company & dispute the charge!

    Simple & Easy!

By the way, I purchased these 200 Ritek G04 Ridata Branded, and it's a F**KING DEFECT. You can see the lighter ring in the center after you burned it. 10 out 10 discs I had burned has it, and 3 out 10 time has bad sectors when you test it with either Nero CD/DVD, or DVDInfoPro.

Bad.. Any good stores that I can make purchase? How about BeALL discs?

I tried BeAll 1x-4x DVD-R and my NEC ND-1300A did not like them at all ... would get bad blocks on surface scan BUT only if I got really close too or over 4.20GB

I usually use 4.30GB as a cut off though which IMHO isn't cutting it TOO close.

Bear in mind my NEC doesn't like ProDisc 4x DVD-R discs either and many have success with those although some others have complained so maybe bad batches? I don't know!

  10. I guess I would not try BeAll.

I've heard great news about Prodisc, and willing to give a try. Since my last visit to Meritline.com for Ritek G04 Ridata Branded was a big failure.
