Help on reauthor dvd with chapters and subtitles

Okay...so a while back I got the animatrix dvd and wanted to make a backup of it. so i used smartripper to rip each episode into a separate folder. but now i can't seem to find the dvd, and so i hoped to reauthor and backup the dvd using dvd shrink. I managed to make a dvd with all 9 episodes each with subtitles, but each episode is its own title so i can't have 9 chapters [so i have to fast forward using dvd player]. so i tried tmpg dvd author and had chapters, but the software doesn't allow subtitles. how can i make a single dvd that uses the ripped separate episodes [in vob file form], having them with subitles AND chapters? help please!

Could you describe how you managed to get the subtitles working using DVD Shrink!

pellep, i forgot to mention that after i ripped the episodes from the disc using smartripper, i used dvd2one with each episode and outputted the files with the subtitles, so when i reauthored with dvdshrink, it shown up with the subtitles checked [in subpicture section]
