  1. Does anyone know what dvd+r media will play on this machine? I've tried Verbatim Dvd+rw and Ritek dvd+r and they don't work. Any ideas on what to try?

Also is there maybe only certain burning and copying software that might work on this machine? Thanks

It could be that your player does not like + media of anykind. have you tried -r/rw discs? I have 2 toshiba dvd players (differne models) and they both play -R/RW discs.

I'm new to this, but my dvd burner will only burn dvd+r, I think.

I also have a Toshiba sd4900 and a toshiba 391 vcr/dvd combo that will play these dvd+r . (The sd 9200 is a pretty good dvd player and I would like to keep it as my main player)

The Toshiba SD9200 is a very solid but rather old machine, and can probably play DVD+R discs only when the booktype is set to "DVD-ROM". Just make sure that your PC burner is able to change the booktype of +R discs to DVD-ROM. Good luck.
