I think there may be a bug in the firmware fo my JVC GR-DV900 camera because when I use WinDV to transfer files as AVI type 1 the demuxed WAV has the sample rate of 48KHz wrongly specified as 32KHz. (Does not happen when transfering to type 2.) If I play the file in Adobe Audition/CEP it is low-shifted in pitch but if I set Audition's "Change Playback Rate" to 48KHz it plays fine. Audition says this is a playback-only control, but if I save the WAV after making the change, it will now playback correctly in all programs. This is not a SR conversion. From memory, (I'm at work), WMP plays the original AVI at the correct rate but Classic Media Play doesn't.

What I want is a program that quickly allows me to change the sample rate parameter embedded in the AVI header.

Also, when I tried transfering as AVI type2 I had no sound if the file was 15,000 frames or larger (10 mins at 25fps). I ended spliting on 12,000 frames (8 mins at 25fps), but since I had to modify the sound in Audition (noise reduction, removal of refrigerator startup impulse interference, removal of switching tones on the power mains) on each of the six small files after demuxing, it was starting to become a bit laborious.
