Hello,
I would like to capture MPEG4 352x480 using a ConvertX 402U. I am wondering what a good data rate would be. Before I was capturing MPEG2 352x480 at 8000 and I would like to achieve the same results using MPEG4. Would 2000 be a good data rate ? Could I go lower than that ?
Thanks.

My usual capture setup:
352x480
XviD MPEG-4
10,000 kbps CBREjoc's CVD Page:
DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy
DVD:
DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX
Capture:
VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author -
10,000 ? That seems very high... How much space would 1 hr of video take ? I was aiming for 600 MB or so...

1 hour would be around 5gb
