Hi, I am using DVD Rebuilder .52 with CCE Basic 2.69. on the 1 click mode.
As I understand it if dynamically assign cell bit rates is ticked you can then steal space from the extras up to 50% to improve quality to the main film ? If I un-tick this option and start to back up my movie, when the info starts to show in the window, "Steal Space From Extras mode is enabled" still shows up ? Does this mean that I will still loose quality from the extras even though I have disabled it ? I only ask because some times when you do series disks episodes show up as extra material. Thanks in advance,![]()

Good question. I can only guess that by not dynamically assigning cell bit rates, the bit rate for menus and extras will be set high, and the movie
may suffer more as a consequence - unless you change the extras
to D1 and select the menu vob's for D1 as well. -
I posted the same question on Doom9 forum and got this reply.
All "tick" options need you to rerun the PREPARE stage in order for them to work.
SO: If you have "steal space from extras 25%" when you PREPARE, and you then untick it, and hit ENCODE, the option will still be active cause all options are saved during PREPARE stage.
Looks like I would be better off choosing the 3 click method for these kind of disks. -
New version 0.53
Code:- Corrected an error in which the "Steal Space From Extras" options were showing as having an effect (messages were presented) when "Dynamically Assign..." was not selected. The "Steal" option only works with "Dynamic..." is selected.
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.
