    Hi everyone,
I have a little project to do, but I got stuck. I have a video clip that I want to make it as slow motion like music video. Which software can do that? I've got the video clip from my camcorder. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an option for slow motion.

    Thanks

i use virtualdub to do slow or fast motion clips (*.avi) and reencode it to mpg (xvcd)
(video - direct stream copy-framerate for ex.12,5 fps to slow or 50fps to fast motion)
try also to use decime by 2 w/the framerate and see the results

    Thanks 2man for the advice.

I'm looking to do a lot of editing, such as fading, overlaping or 'trailing' (I'm not if it's the right wording) and etc. Any more suggestion?

    Thanks

  4. Sonic Foundry Vegas or Adobe Premiere are the best for doing all that you requested. Alot more bells and whistles compared to vd.

    Thanks vinnyskinny,
I assummed Sonic Foundry Vegas or Adobe Premiere can do slow or fast motion pictures. I'll try your recommendation.

    You guys are the best.

  6. What it makes look so good on TV and music video is that they film faster and then slow it down to original speed....anyway another question....is there a way to make it go graduatly in premiere?

    Just to follow up...

SONY ScreenBlast can the job (all transitions), but it still can't do the slow motion. I'm still looking for a software to do that...

Vegas can do it, and can do it keyframeable, so you can change the speed multiple ways in the same clip.

  10. I have been using VirtualDubMOD to change the frame rate, but when i do this the music doesn't change. So i have music going fast and the band playing in slow mo and it looks awful. It also means at the end there is no music and the band is playing!!!

So why is it doing this? How do i change the music aswel?

  11. I have the same question like vcdlover. Trying to make music video and as for that, I sort of needed the slow motion too. Is there a way to edit the slow motion in Vegas?
    Please help this poor man.

Ctrl + click and drag at the end of the clip.

Actually screenblast can do slow motion just like in Vegas. I think it's an alt or shift + click on the righ hand side of the event. You will see the cursor change to a wiggly line line an accordian.

I tried it a week ago or so and the result looked pretty good.

    Try www.100fps.com

It has one of the best slo-mo that I've seen.

If you want to slow down and speed up easily i Vegas, look at Velocity Envelopes. More powerful than the simple slow motion fx. The only catch is that Velocity Envelopes do not affect video fx. If you need this as well, render the clip out with the video fx in place, then load the new clip in and apply the velocity envelope(s).

You could give all your actors downers.
Your miserable life is not worth the reversal of a Custer decision.

To do slow motion in Screenblast MovieStudio, you can either use the ctrl key and drag the event longer or alternatively, set the playback speed in the properties.
