  1. I'm trying to re-author Kill Bill (that beast) and I would like to have the subtitles present when ever they are speaking non-english. I am fluent in Meastro as I have authored many DVD's, but I am stumped on this one. Can't find any good tutorials either...

    I figure I need to :
    1. Strip subtitles from DVD (what is most recommended for this)
    2. Add subitles into Maestro
    3. Make Maestro play subttles at appropriate time (This blows me away, here's the main problem)

I think I can figure 1 and 2 out (any suggestions would be nice) but #3 that's the killer, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

just load the english subtitles and force them on (you can do this right at the menu button) .. the english subtitles will only show up when you want them to

  3. not sure I follow you here. Right now my authored version contains only .ac3 and .m2v, where is it Masetro that tells it to force the subtitles on.

"you can do this right at the menu button"

    ... please elaborate BJ_M...

One other thing I should mention is I have a universal remote and all the buttons are used up (TV, DVD, tuners commands) and I lost my original DVD remote so I can't atually go into an original movie and turn on subtitles... this is kinda why I am trying to rebuild this DVD, so that I don't have to mess with subtitles thru the menus...

    Thanks,

when you hit the play button ... you can force subtitles on ...

look in maestro menu tab , under "buttons" -> "stream pre selection"

or for each subtitle entry , you can force it in one by one (double click it) ... theh check box is at the top

its all covered pretty well in the manual ...

oh the thing is I don't have the manual, see there was this guy walking down the highway, so I jumped out my car and beat the crap out of him, then noticed he dropped some disks so I picked them, and wow they were DVD Maestro. So then obviously I asked him for the manual but he started kicking me and shouting so I had to run. I also started hearing sirens so I high tailed it...

I don't know if being fluent with Meastro will help.

Meastro and Maestro are two totally different programs. One is for organizing porn collections and the other one is a pro dvd authoring program.
