    Help, I'm desperate!

I've got this video (a divx file) downloaded that comes with VobSub subtitles, and I'm trying to figure out a way to view them with the movie.

What is the best program to use on Mac OS X? My usual player (VLC) doesn't have VobSub support, but MPlayer and others that supposedly read them don't seem to work at all (I don't know why, they just don't load any files correctly).

I've even tried using that encoder program ffmpegX, but for some reason neither the video nor the Vobsub file will play. I load them both up, press the play button, and nothing happens (I've tested the program, though, and it has played other divx files just fine. And at the same time, the divx I'm trying to play runs perfectly in VLC, just without the subtitles. In other words, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the file itself).

Can anyone give me some suggestions....??

Play it on a PC. I gave up vobsub a long time ago on the mac. They were to hard to do. if you have vpc you can convert them to srt and play them fine.

Hmm. That program looked promising, but when I drag the files into it, it pauses for a bit, and then a message comes up saying the program had to shut itself down.

Also, when I checked the sub2srt website, it says that it will convert .sub files, but NOT VobSub files.... which is odd, because I thought VobSub files WERE .sub files..... damnit....

    Well, thanks anyway, though.
