This is my procedure for SVCD:
Capture with Vdub 1.4.5, frameserve to TMPGEnc 12i, demux with TMPGEnc, mux with bbMPEG, use VCDImager 0.77 to create bin/cue. This has worked several times with the only problem being an occasional:
++ WARN: mpeg scan: pack header code (0x000001ba) expected, but 0xd3d601ba found (buflen = 2324)
++ WARN: bad packet at packet #3176 (stream byte offset 7381024) -- remaining 808996020 bytes of stream will be ignored
I think this was a TMPGEnc problem. I would re-encode to MPEG2 and then everything would work. It looked as if d3d6 was just junk placed where 0000 should have been. Now I am getting a similar problem that is a little different. I can re-encode and nothing changes. I get 0x61C2F362 found for header and 0x000001BA expected. With the previous problem I could re-encode or just hexedit and make the change to the header and it would work fine. I can't do that with this one. It seems to be a bbMPEG problem because the .mpg created with TMPGEnc will work fine with VCDImager 0.6X but once I demux/remux, VCDImager 0.6x gives the same error as VCDIMager 0.77. I thought the only difference was that the file created by bbMPEG had scan offsets? Does anyone have any suggestions?
