That card doesn't need a SLI slot at all. It may nor even work in a SLI slot. Tri a normal PCIe slot first.

I have it in a PCIe x1 slot now and does not show up in the new hardware found in the device manager it is missing cannot be foound and the other slot I have is the other long slot I cannot get to my other x1 slot on the board so my question is will it work in the other slot the long PCIe one black in color which in the manual its say any x1 or x8 slot and that is what this slot runs at acording to the specs. I am a little under the weather and I may not be getting this across correctly can not spell either. Thanks

I've only got the HVR-1600 (PCI slot) so can't reply. Did you call Hauppauge support?
