  1. Hi,

i've got a patched (7.01.200) of Ulead VideoStudio Basic 7 SE that came with my Sony DCR-TRV60E. However on the Share menu, the Create Disc is greyed out. Why is this?
I had a avi file (dv-2) that i added some effects to and wanted to create a disc of it.
    Anyway to resolve this?

The video is on the storyboard or timeline, and not just highlighted in the library, right?
    Hello.

  3. Yes it's on the storyboard. I created a new project, imported some DV-2 avi that i previously captured with ulead, then added effects and the works and i can get a preview of the project. The "Create Disc" remains greyed out. Very wierd. Or maybe the version that came with my cam doesn't support it? Is that possible. Would be weird though.

Edit: I just tried reinstalling but that doesn't seem to help either

  4. I gave up on Ulead and started using Pinnacle instead. I just compared a scene burned to dvd made with pinnacle to the same scene made with TMPGenc and the results are both good. Because of the easy of use and the fact that i don't use any minidv tapes larger than 60 minutes, i'm going to stick with Pinnacle Studio 9.
(I got both Ulead with my Sony camera & Pinnacle with my burner)

What i do do for instance is when i want an effect that's in Ulead but not Pinnacle, i save the movie as avi (no compression), then edit it in ulead to add the desired effect (for instance old film filter) and then export again with no compression and then reimport into pinnacle for the final editing.

Problem is that this is slow becaue i only have a 1 Ghz machine.
I'm going to first try to edit all my scenes like this seperately, then after they are edited, import them all, add transitions and a menu and boom, finished or so i hope
