  1. Hi,
I have a *.mkv file containing 2 audio tracks, and 3 subtitles. But I only want 1 audio track (the main one) and 1 subtitle.
Using Tmpgenc I can convert the file into an avi with the original track. But no subtitle.
VirtualDubMod tells me it can "only handle [S_TEXT/] subs for the moment". And another dead-end is AVI_MUX_GUI. It hangs up every time I try to "generate data source from files" or try doing anything else (ie pressing the "start" button).

Is there any other way of extracting the subtitles/audio? Or is it possible to burn the mkv file "as is" onto DVD?

Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

  2. I've finally figured it out.

I use Tmpgenc to encode the file as a DVD/PAl and as soon as the green arrow appears in the taskbar I choose the subtitle track, that I want. And voila, it works.
