I have a DVD that I want to add chapters to. Menus aren't necessary. Does it have to be re-authored or is there a quicker way?

You will need to take the VOB files down to the native MPEG files.

Then create a new DVD (author) via one of several apps. I use DVD Movie Factory and it works well for chapter creation

Use DVD Shrink V3B5. If you need 10 chapter marks, you drag 10 times the of the movie to the re-author location. Start and end the part you want to save. You automatically have the chapter marks when yoy back them up!
