I'd suggest negotiate down to CDN$50, or add ten bucks and buy a new one.

Dont ever buy used dvd burners,most likely going downhill,you can buy a new dvd burner thats -/+ for $100 canadian with a warranty.$65 canadian is US $47.77.

buy new from www.newegg.com you never know how much some else used it. If you are buying used only buy from a friend you really know.

Hi, I have a DVD+R you can get cheap. It was a factory replacement for a dead drive, I never used it except one burn to see if it worked ( I already bought a different drive). It is a Retail boxed Memorex NEC ND-1100A (+R). They burn reliably. Has Nero 5.5 and some capture software (Yuck) My old one died from using it excessively as a ripping drive. Anyway, it's yours for $35(US) + Shipping. PM me if you want it.

Just an Update I bought the Used DVD burner Friday it was bad I ripped a movie and I smelt a burning smell. I restarted the computer and it would keep restarting it self, untill I let it sit for like an hour then I burnt the movie and then restarted it again it wouldn't start for about an hour just kept restarting it self. The drive is bad and overheats, I'm taking it back on Tuesday and getting a new one from them. I can't believe they sold that to me, a holes.

i bought a pioneer 103 off of ebay the other day. awaiting its arrival on wednesday. hope it doesnt screw like yours. i paid $48 for it...i know, sounds kinda overpriced for a 2 year old burner that burns at 2x max, but thats all i can afford...

bah, the dvd writer powers on, but the laser is bad. cant read dvd-roms, dvd-rs, CD-DA or any kind of disc. i guess it got damaged during shipment. yes, theres the chance of it being broken to begin with, but i bought it from a college professor at caltech (checked his caltech.edu email address with the caltech directory), so he seems trustworthy.

It's not the end of the world if you don't have a DVD burner. If you can't afford one "right now", wait and save up. Waiting on PC components always guarantees bigger-better-faster-cheaper

get a refund and save up your money to purchase a new dvd burner. you can get a liteon, nec, pioneer drive for under a $100.00. I wouldn't waste money on getting a used dvd burner although I've bought 3 dvdroms off ebay that work perfectly fine. dvd burners are cheap right now. that's just my opinion!
