  1. Hi everyone

I made a video in combustion with 1094x576 pixel resolution .
My question is the following :

Is there anyway to mantain that video resolution in a dvd?
If there is can anyone explain me how?

Even if i decide to loose 70 pixels of the width to make it into a 1024x576 video- 16:9 DVD - the MPEG-2 will be always compressed to 720x576 - so basically i can never see (at least in a computer) the movie in itīs original size ...
    Any suggestions?

    thanks a lot

As you have already pointed out in your own post, PAL resolution is 720 x 576, so if you want to put it on DVD as a compliant video stream for playback, sacrifices will have to be made. You could put a copy of it as an avi file at it's original resolution in the data area of the disk for playback on PCs only. This way you have the best of both worlds.
