I was capturing something to AVI (PicVideo MJPEG) and the PC crashed. I've still got an AVI file on my HD that's 4-5 GB but I can't open it with anything. Anybody ever had any luck recovering files when this happens?

Yeah that's the first thing I tried. I figured it was knackered when VDub wouldn't open it but thought I'd get some second & third opinions before I sent it off to the bit bucket.

    Update:

I didn't give up on this thing. I searched around and found ASF-AVI-RM-WMV Repair. That did the trick. What a handy tool to have that thing is. I'd like it a lot better if it were a little cheaper though.
