  1. I use a Sony TRV-330 DV camera to input. However, inputing is no problem, in fact it input amazingly 100% perfect never a dropped frame. I use Adobe Premiere to input and have just finished a concert editing and am in the process of trying to export it.

    PROBLEM:
When I try to export to tape - it recognizes the camera starts recording but nothing appears on the screen - or on the camcorder. WHY?

    GENERL QUESTION:
What is the best way to export digital quality video from my computer?

I have a 40G, 500 AMD 3D Processor, 256 RAM, ATI RADEON 7200 DDR 64MB Video Card, Firewire support n computer and camera (but as you can see from my problem I can't get that working exaclty) and I run WIndows XP.

  3. I usually output my final cut to AVI (using Microsoft DV codec) then run DV Out (a Main Concept product) to output the AVI to my tape. Using the same equipment as you, and not had any trouble.

Not sure if DV Out is readily available from MC web site, it came with my Firewire card.

I have also had trouble with Premieres capture and playback features, which is why I use a separate tool now.

For input I have just started using Scenalyzer, might try for output next time. It is the BEST capture app I have used, full of features but very easy to use and so far, 100% reliable.
