crash when starting ripping full dvd

Hi,
I'd like to backup a DVD (Johnny English) but before burning, I want to remove the bonus features (with vob blanker) so I can get a higher quality. Blank vobs takes only +/- 2-3 MB and still pictures with dvdshrink takes +/- 150 MB

So I start the rip with Smart Ripper in dvd backup mode. I click the start button and just when the backup starts it crashs ("smartripper.exe had caused error and it will be closed by windows. a log is being created".)

It's the first time I got this error. This is also the first time I want backup a dvd wich contains DVD-ROM extras. Maybe it's the problem.

The rip works with dvdshink but in reauthor mode it's not possible to keep the menu this is why I want to blank all unnecessary features with vob blanker before shrinking it.

so what can I do ??

i would rip using DVDDecrypter in file mode to rip the entire disc. then use vob blanker to amend it. don't know it vob blanker will open files on HDD rather than from a DVD, as i've never used it. if that doesn't work, i would rip using DVDshrink and compress your extras to the maximum amount - you'll get a DVD folder too big to put on disc but not to worry, run it through shrink again (opening folder on HDD rather than disc) to compress again. continue till it's small enough.
