BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Reuters) - A hungry Argentine thief forced his way into a home on Friday to steal clothes and appliances -- before sitting at the dinner table to demand the captive family cook him a proper meal.

"He ordered a steak and fried eggs. Afterward, he pulled the telephone out and tied the family up," said the porter from the building in a posh neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

    The thief then escaped.

  2. Let me get this straight - he was sitting there eating, and a whole family couldn't nail him?

I would have reached for the meat tenderizer, then....

At least he avoided going down for the big crime. Think of what would have happened if the father worked digging coal out of the ground, and the intruder had demanded breakfast sausage instead? He could have been busted for ........

i'm better at it now, i just don't get the chance to practice too often. lunch gets cooked for me and i don't ever eat dinner. i sometimes cook weekends, but this is limited to adding hot water to a pot noodle or reheating some beans.

occasionally i operate the deep fat fryer

I learned to cook, and cook quite well, at a young age. My mother taught fencing at a college for a while and I'd be on my own certain days. Then when I was 16 I held several jobs cooking in restaurants - learned the one-handed egg crack and the pan-only flapjack toss

I took some culinary classes (along with fashion classes) as a minor in college. Nothing funny, I just wanted to be able to mend a big tear in a shirt or pants and cook something really good. It worked for nabbing dates. There's nothing like making a really good dinner for a girl who gets inpressed by it and puts out on that table once it's cleared.
