  1. They are at Walmart for $294 here are they any good? I know you get
what you pay for. Is this product
worth it for your first DVD recorder? Or are other ones for $399 at Sams and Target any better?

    Anyone have this model?

Its a good dvd recorder it has a cirrus chip, does very good job only problem you will have is to get a good one. Trial & error. If you by one make sure you put a fan in it, this will help because the cirrus chip gets hot quickly. Picture quality is panny Level, They use same chip.

  3. Walmart also has the Pioneer DVR-220-S now for $297.

I just got an open box Panasonic 50 for $197 at Circuit City.

I returned the Pioneer because anything I burned on it would not play back on my Apex or JVC players. Panasonic works great on other players.

These are little more than paperweights. I've never seen such shoddy things in years. Reminds me of an EMERSON or GE VCR.
