I have my old VHS tapes to DVD+R so I don't have to buy new copies on DVD. I have a Cyberhome DVR-1500 and of course two VCRs and one video player. I do not have a computer. Is there any way I can save the cost of replacing all these videos? Any help would be appreciated on this because some of these are not yet on DVD and I don't want to invest more money in something I already have for just a different and more compact format.

So the Cyberhome DVR-1500 is a DVD recorder, right? Then all you need to record is some blank DVDR media and a way around macrovision. Either one of these devices will get you past any macrovision.

Thanks for the links! Any other links would be helpful too. Do you know if these actually work? Hate to spend more money on something that doesn't work. And yest, the Cyberhome DVR-1500 is a dvd recorder.

You do know that not all VHS are copy protected or have macrovision? I converted about 50 or so VHS movies to DVDR and a lot of them were not protected so just try to record them and put the copy protected tapes aside for when you get the copy device later on.

Oh yeah I do know...it just seems like the past fifteen or so I have tried in my collection were copyrighted. The whole dvd recording thing has been frustrating for me when I am just trying to save favorite movies of mine and my sister's. I have like 150+ movies to do.

I have another question...do these come with the cables you need to hook it up to the vcr and dvd recorder? If not, what cables are necessary? I've seen some similar devices on ebay and can't get an answer out of the sellers. Or should I just buy it from the other sites?
