Hey ,
I bought this player a few days ago ..
it's working great all apart for the subtitles option .
from what i've seen it does not support AVI Playback with subtitles .
is there a way to make a subtitle work ?
i tried
.SRT - which i've seen everyone mentioned that isn't being support
.SUB - also didn't work
and also some of the movies i have with a .Idx .SUB
but that also dosen't seem to work..
Thanks in advance
Jogel

I spoke to a customer service rep from philips and he confirmed that divx subs are not supported, despite reports that they are. He assured me that subtitle support was being implemented in the next firmware update but he couldn't give me a time table.
Until then what is the easiest way to hard encode .srt subs to a divx file?
Thanks
