Is there a way to get a highest quality VCD using TMPG from a divx file. I figure since were using 2 cds anyway we might as well use a full 1400 mb for the movie to get a higher quality then, say 1000mb
So what settings would i change to get the best quality? Note i tried changing the setting from normal-high-highest and i didnt really notice much difference in size or quality
The divx file is 700mb and perfect quality.

If you've got a divx file in perfect quality, you've got the quality problem resolved.

Look on the left under Convert and follow the directions for conversion using TMPGEnc. I use TMPGEnc and use the NTSC template. Under the advanced settings, select High quality. Then convert the whole 700 meg avi. You'll end up with an mpeg file that's about 1.4+ gig. Break the mpeg into multiple pieces using the mpeg tools inside TMPGEnc. Each piece should be about an hour or enought to fit on a single CD. The result is a couple of perfect VCDs.

By the way, I use CDRWs. Not that CDRs are expensive, but I've already got all the coasters I need.
