  1. There is no video tool to encode in DivX 5 with MacOS.

    ffmpegX is just the best... but is missing DivX 5 support too!

    Maybe is due to DivX 5 codecs and QT integration.... but it's amazing: no easy way to encode in DivX 5 with Mac without using QT PRO.

    Well..actually MPEG-4 .AVI is DivX 4/5. DivX is a trade name and DivX 4 and 5 are using the same format. DivX is a way to encode MPEG-4 into an .avi file and so is XviD and 3ivX encodes MPEG-4 into a QuickTime file and can be exported as pure MPEG-4 (.mp4) with AAC audio i QuickTime.
