I used dvd shrink to copy a dvd without compression to my HD. Then I used the old freeware dvdfab to split those files into two dvds. The problem is that the first disk plays fine when I burn it but not the second. When I insert the second disk it tells me please check the tv system. It's like the second disk comes out PAL. By the way the second disk plays fine on my other dvd player in the living room, which is both PAL and NTSC. Can someone please tell me what to do because this is not the first time it happens.

slimmx,
I've encountered this same problem on certain DVD players using the same software as you. Disc 2 plays fine on my Toshiba SD-2800 and PSX2. I have a friend who has 3 DVD players and the second disc will only play on one, an older Samsung (model # unknown), but will not play on a newer Samsung and brand new Sony (model #'s unknown).

What software do you use to split disk in order not to encounter that problem. -

Have you tried DVD Shrink? It does the option to split at chapter points or anywhere if you so choose. I've used it quite a few times and it works well for me.
Hope this helps.
