This post is in violation of the forum rules, but there are so many possibilities with your problem that it is hard to address. Is your receiver set to decode 5.1 as 5.1, for example?

If I am wrong about this, I apologise, but I thought the rule was that we were not allowed to mention specific copyrighted material.

I believe it's ok as long as the film is currently available on DVD and it's not a rented copy.

Yes , ROTK is available to buy certainly in the UK now. If someone owns a copy of a particular film and is wanting help to back it up I don't think that is a problem.
If they said they rented or borrowed a movie then that is a different story.

  11. When you re-author, make sure to select Set Default Streams to play the 5.1 audio track (I believe you can achieve this by right clicking the main movie title).

Okay, I misread the statements made in the past when other people have broken the rule. I'll just go hide in the corner now.

I'm still perplexed by this question, though. I was under the impression that DVDShrink made it pretty damned easy to determine which soundtracks you copy.

are you sure the 5.1 audio is selected in dvd shrink? if its selected, then it will be on the burned dvd. maybe you need to hit the audio button on your dvd player to select the 5.1 mix, maybe the 2 ch is selected by default.
