  1. My friend had birthday party and he hired camer guy. This guy made a video in svcd but i donno why he made it in *.bin file, anyway i've extracted it with WinIso and then burned [couse the file was too big to burn and i didnt know what to do with it ]. Then i deleted the *.bin file and gave the burned cd to my friend as he wished. The second day he calls me saing that the video is messed up and he accuse me of everything . when i checked it out i felt kinda' stupid . the video is all in color squares and audio - static and noise. Now i want to make it straight but i dont know what went wrong . Could anyone help me, please?! Is it possible that the video was secured or somethin' ? and i should bruned it right away from *.bin file ? [the problem is theres no more *.bin file ] Or is it matter of codecs ? [i think i checked all of 'em]

I enclose a screen shot from this video, hope someone will know the answer.

    Thanks for any help. Newbie

You stated "...couse the file was too big to burn". How big was the bin file? Was it maybe somewhere near 800mb (up to 830mb.) If so, it was not "too big." SVCDs, VCDs, etc are burned mode-2, mode-2 allows for 800mb on a 80 minute 700mb mode-1 CD. The time/capacity on the packaging of CDs is for mode-1. If the bin file was 830mb or less I suggest you get another copy of it (with the corresponding cue file) and try burning it without re-encoding it.

Note: there is a problem burning 800mb mode-2 CDs in Nero. Somewhere in the program, settings need to be changed.

Lastly I suspect the guy sent you an image, because "he" thought it would be much easier for you to burn (just one step.)

try remultiplex / fix it with tmpgenc, choose file->mpeg tools->multiplex and select your mpg as video and audio and create a new svcd mpg.

when you extract svcd or vcd mpgs from bin/cue use isobuster, read this guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/141726.php#svcdbin

  5. Capmaster :: it was only my thought .. and why is it *.bin - i dont know. why the camer guy couldnt brun it at once , maybe the price was lower, i dont know, dont care , must fix it

hwoodwar :: thanks for your opionion but now i know that i gotta turn overburnin' on [in nero] and open the *.bin file with *.cue file

    thats a good point.

I suggest you get another copy of it (with the corresponding cue file) and try burning it without re-encoding it.
its too late for that , like i said theres no *.bin file left

Baldrick :: thanks for your help. i hope the trick with tmpgenc will work. and for next time i will remember - isobuster, thx

Thanks guys for replies. if somethin new comes out i will let know.

It was UltraISO that screwed up my files. Once I used IsoBuster on the *.bin/*.cue files the extracted *.mpg worked perfect.
in my case it was WinISO that screwed all up. but now that i dont have *.bin is there a way to fix my file? or i should forget about it ?
