  1. Hi, this is my first post in the forum,; however, I have been a frequent visitor to the site since vcdhelp.com was its original name.

    * Here's my situation:

    1) I bought a DVD with some episodes of a TV show, it has menus and everything.

    2) I have an addition episode of the show as an AVI on my PC.

    * Here's what I want to do:

    -Add the AVI episode onto the DVD as an "extra"
    -Add a new button to the existing menu that points to the new episode (such as a "play episode" button)
    -therefore, the DVD (and the menus) function like the original, but with the extra button and video in it

    * Here's what I know:

    -how to rip DVD's using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shirnk as any file type
    -how to author a full DVD (menus and everything) from AVI's using DVD Lab and Tmpgenc
    -how to burn a DVD-R

    * My question:
    -Is this actually possible?

    -I've seen it done on many DVD's but I think those are created using pro software and hardware.

    I searched the forum, but there doesn't seem to be a problem like mine.

    Sorry if this post seems long, but I wanted to be thourough so that people will actual understand my problem (not like those post with "plz help me!").

    Thanks.

    Hell, I didn't even know that that was possible!
    Kidding aside, you'll have one hell of a task before you, as you'll have to disassemble the DVD and reauthor and rebuild everything again, with the addition of your AVI (properly encoded to DVD spec mpg). Not done in an afternoon...
