  1. I just got my iMac back from the shop, and decided to see how things worked. (i just had my fifth dvr-104 replaced)..... (thank gawd for extended warranties) I downloaded the latest version of MTR, and lo and behold.... Nada. MTR just kicks up the disclaimer, and regardless of the version that I use proclaims that it can't read any of the files from a dvd. Any ideas?

    Thanks, in advance,

    Drake

I'm kinda going through a similar deal with my friend's G5.
(see my post: Real Quick: MTR 2.6 Crashes)
Try what I've done so far:
Create a new user on your iMac., give it admin privleges.
Trash all MTR off machine, re-install MTR from the direct link
    from here.
Try running MTR 2.6 from the new account.

I'm sorry about your -104 crapping out.
Does it NOW play dvds from Apple's DVD Player?
    VLC?
perhaps if the new user account doesn't work for you,
it could (again) be your -104?
