Hey!
Just got my Pioneer dvr-107D, and upgraded to official firmware 1.15
But, i can only burn Princo and Ritek G04 discs at 4x. Is it better to use hacked 1.13 and get the 8x burning speeds on all discs?

You can probably get very good burn at 6X with G04. I don't know about Princos.

Congrats Zechnubis. Hows your ND1300A? Hope you didnt sell it to a friend? It should be a friend you can afford to lose if so
. I guess i will also use hacked firmware when i get a 107D. IF i get one, will go away for some months this summer. Btw, i bought some G04's from Clas Ohlson yesterday, they do even worse when burned at 4x than the samsungs! Very hopeless burner i got

Hey Thor!
Sold it to "someone i know briefly"...A girl friend (not girlfriend) bought it very cheap, and only to use as cdburner and burn an occasional dvd, so i dont think i ripped her off entirely.
Tried Princo in 4x, went gr8! Also tried Traxdata (G04 from clas ohlson) and they also worked fine. Gonna try g04 in higher speeds and SW at 4x.
Im sooo satisfied with the 107.
Btw, i got the black 107D. :P -
Too bad the Traxdata G04 didnt work out for me, i had the hopes up high for those, but had to burn them at 2x, so i still stick to BeAll -R, cheaper and possible less failures at 4x. Btw, not yet a coaster with Samsung +R (Yuden) at 4x, they rule.

I'm using the hacked 1.13 and have no problems burning at 8x with +/- discs. I can also burn 8x with 4x Datawrite -R.
