what shouldi look for in a video card, im building my new system......and was looking at this baby.....http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-150-058&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE
..mind you im not a gamer, i dont even get that high tech on my monitor, meaning i just really maybe watch some dvds or donwloaded video clips on my monitor...keep in mind i have a foxconn mother board that can handle an 8x agp graphics card. if that one doesn't look good to you guys, please point one out, give me your best opinions

FX5700LE means FX 5700 Lame Edition.
but if you're not gaming it makes no difference. any card available will be fine. -
i would like to keep it un der 100$ but i would also like almost the same features as the one i posted, especially the 8x 256mb ddr ram specs....can you recomend somewthing, ohh...i want it new as well

If you can only stretch to $100 then that is a good buy for the money and you will still have some left over.

yeah, that card will be fine for you, and with the $ saved you can buy something else. when half life 2 comes out you can buy an all singing all dancing card

Beware of cheap cards with 256MB VRAM. Yeah it has a lot of VRAM but they put shoddy memory on a PCB of equal make. I wouldn't trust a video card with 256MB of VRAM under $200. Besides if you're not doing gaming or 3D design you don't need all that memory. My economy card of choice is the PNY GFX 5200. If you can find one the old PNY GF4 4400 was an awesome card as well.
On the ATi side of things... Whoa, NewEgg is selling 9600XTs for $164. If you can stretch your budget that far you won't be disappointed.
