  1. I encoded, authored and burned a dvd in AC3 with BeSweet. The source file was a WAV i converted to AC3. When I attempt to watch the DVD, i only hear audio when I set my DVD player to output PCM instead of bitstream. Why would this happen? I thought that bitstream was the only setting that sent ac3 signals. Did I encode something wrong? My receiver plays other dolby digital tracks fine, so it's probably not hardware.

  2. Be careful with Besweet, use newest version possible, the older ones can **** things up with AC3. For example the besweet that is shipped with DVD2SVCD, some players dont like it too much. Whats your player? From what i read the problem with old besweet versions mostly affects old Pioneers and some Korean made players.

  3. My player is a hitachi DVP-533U and my receiver is a Sony, so i'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue. I beleive i have the latest version of BeSweet, but I use BeSweetGUI, would that cause any problem? I also use the BS_AC3 v0.1 encoder.

  4. I cant say i heard about Sony having problems, so i tend to agree with you that its not hardware related. BesweetGui or not should not make a difference. You better try another proggy to convert the AC3 and test it. You could try ffmpegGui. Or something, i dont know.
