    I am building a new computer around a Matrox Marvel G400 and P3 833.

    Thankyou

  2. Well, i'd go for the Audigy card, but only because it has a FireWire Interface, if not, go for the Philips Thunder something, great features and quality and I think it only costs like 50$

  3. I prefer the Sound Blaster series for the sole basis that they are THE compatibility standard out there. There is so much support for these cards that you can't go wrong. I would say that the SB series may not have all the high end features that other brands do, but sound quality is very good and compatibility is excellent. =)

  4. cjlee1, in the past, in the good old days of AWE32, i'd agree with you 100%, but since Creative and Microsoft joined forces, Creative drivers have been amongst the worst in the market, there is basicly no support or updated unless they got a new card in the market (SBLive!/5.1/Audigy), and their compatibility has been the worst of all current cards, and not just on VIA, but also on ALi, AMD, Intel and other chipsets.
