  1. Hello.
I am a newbie on making dvd. I just bought a Pacific Digital DVD burner and the software come with is Sonic MyDVD. I have some video clips which are in mpeg2 format, before i got my dvd burner i used to burn the mpeg2 file into VCD format so i can watch it on TV. Now I am trying to burn the mpeg2 file into DVD since one DVD can fit 4.7 GB file.

However, I am keep having problem try to burn those mpeg2 files into dvd. Everytime, i try to create new dvd project and add the mpeg2 clips, It only allow me to add about 4 clips each one average 490,805kb, then my dvd is full. Any one can tell me what happen>?
It's there anyway i can add more mpeg2 file into one blank dvd and play it on the regular DVD player. My dvd player only play DVD-R, doesn't support mpeg1,2 file. Is there any other better burning software better than the Sonic MyDVD????

    PLEASE HELP!!! thanks

I don't use MyDVD, though I have it. Came with a burner. Usually bundled software is limited. The most popular system for DVD production here is to use TMPGEnc encoder and TMPGEnc DVD Author. TDA can burn also. BTW, you can put about 4.3G on a DVD. I would try the trial versions of these softwares. Maybe someone here can give you some tips on the bundled version of MyDvd. They really want you to buy the full version for all the extras.

so i only can put up 4 hours mpeg2 files into one dvd???? it's this is the max on one 4.7 gb dvd??
