    Hi folks hope you can help me out here.

    I have a nvidia card with video-in (It's an 5900fx). Anyway I can capture using virtualVCR no problem but the only snag with virtualvcr is that it is an AVI capture proggy and I want mpeg-2 capture. I've tried all sorts of programs like windvd creator, powervcr and they all capture (and preview) in black and white!! Has anyone xperienced this or could someone suggest what is going wrong. The physical setup is fine as virtualvcr records spendidly - takes hours and hours to convert though and so want to capture direct to mpeg-2.

    Sounds like you are capturing PAL signals with NTSC settings or vice versa.
